On July 22, 2026, representatives from TMA attended and shared insights at a seminar on "Sovereign AI and Data Governance" organized by Vietnam Internet Association (VIA) - Southern Chapter.
The event brought together leading technology experts from Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Cisco, QTSC, Data Protectify, Mi2, and TMA to discuss Sovereign AI trends, data security solutions, and effective AI deployment strategies for the Vietnamese business community.
Local Data & AI Solutions
At the event, Mr. Pham Tuan Anh – Director of TMA AI Center delivered an in-depth presentation titled "Local Data & AI Solutions." The talk focused on addressing the key challenges enterprises face today when deploying AI: data security, total control over data, and seamless integration with existing systems (ERP, CRM, MES, etc.).
Representing TMA, he introduced a flexible architecture that allows AI models to run directly on local servers or edge devices (Edge AI). TMA’s Data Platform supports integration with over 40+ systems and data formats, enabling standardization, access control, and robust data security. This foundation empowers businesses to proactively deploy advanced applications such as AI Agents, Local Large Language Models (Local LLM), and Multi-Agent AI systems.
Additionally, TMA showcased practical applications of Edge AI in Smart Manufacturing, including automated product quality inspection, occupational safety alerts, and real-time equipment monitoring.
Panel Discussion: Data as the Core Foundation of Sovereign AI
During the panel discussion alongside leaders from top technology corporations, the speakers unpacked the concept of Sovereign AI from an enterprise perspective.
Addressing the question of which capability enterprises should prioritize mastering among Data, Infrastructure, Models, Security, or Compliance, TMA representative emphasized that Data is the key element to focus on first.
According to Mr. Pham Tuan Anh, AI models and technologies evolve rapidly, whereas a company's data and how it manages that data form the core foundation for long-term value creation. If data is not standardized and properly governed, even the most advanced infrastructure or AI models will struggle to deliver real business impact.
Closing the event with a message to Vietnamese enterprises preparing to adopt AI, TMA recommended that organizations start with practical business problems rather than technology itself. Businesses should clearly define their goals, run small-scale trials (Pilot), measure concrete results, and then gradually scale up across the enterprise.
