Wi-Fi HaLow is a new Wi-Fi protocol based on the IEEE 802.11ah standard. Wi-Fi HaLow operates at frequencies below 1GHz, giving it more than 10x longer reach than conventional Wi-Fi. The sub-GHz signal also consumes less energy and penetrates walls and materials much better than 2.4GHz signals.
