4G MVNO LTE EPC & MANO

Client requested a full service of system testing for 4G LTE EPC solution, MANO system and development for relevant testing tools. Testing service must address below specific requirements:

• Managing and orchestrating virtual resources (VMs, VNFs) on a private cloud setup.
• Handling complex configurations involving vMME, vSGW, vPGW on OpenStack.
• Ensuring OTT services like messaging, calling, and push notifications work reliably.
• Testing media streaming under various network conditions (Wi-Fi, 4G/LTE).
• Running high-volume user testing (1 million users) using BOT tools
   

• Set up the test domain and environment for LTE EPC and MANO
• Perform system testing for LTE EPC solution:
  • MME: Mobility Management Entity
  • SGW: Serving Gateway
  • PGW: Packet Data Node Gateway
  • PCRF (PDF+CRF): Policy & Charging Function
  • HSS: Home Subscriber Server
• Verified OTT functionalities: video/audio calls, conferencing, messaging, group calls, presence.
• Checked push notifications (active/passive) on Android and iOS.
• Tested 2FA with 1 million users via BOT tools.
• Verified media streaming performance under different network conditions.
• Tested media stream switching between Wi-Fi and 4G/LTE.
• Verified interaction with voicemail, group calls, and SIP client for Call-P service.
• Performed specific MANO system tests: System management (tenant, network service management, topology display), Service package and template handling, Scenario management (scale up, scale down, initiate, terminate), Configuration test (VNF, VIM)
• Develop and validate relevant testing tools which are used within LTE/MANO systems:
  • Att tool (scripting based Automation framework): executes process described in a scenario file.
  • Ysim tool: to simulate solution network devices/protocols
  • ICARUS: to establish a big number of UE sessions
  • MP3: to generate a big data traffic via LTE tunnel
  • Log collector tools: shsuite, pstat, dwdf, admf (for lawful intercept)
